), please bring a beach towel and all of your swimming paraphernalia as well.
We will have an “adopt an attendee” thread on Ravelry for those who are traveling via airplane and cannot pack their own linens/towels, so that they can be adopted by a more local attendee who can help out.* Opened food and drinks (with the exception of water) are not allowed in the cabins.
PLEASE NOTE: the 2019 retreat is CLOSED to signups and we do not allow anyone to take an open spot past our June 30 drop date.
At this point, please mark your calendars for the 2020 retreat’s signup date of 2/1.* The retreat will be from September 19-22, 2019, at the Lake Frances Retreat Center in Crossville TN.
We cannot bend the rules on this, so please do not ask!
* Crossville, Tennessee, is located one hour west of Knoxville and one and a half hours east of Nashville off Interstate 40.
If there is ANY doubt that you will be able to attend, we ask that you please think carefully about signing up.
We will do our best to make you happy, but keep in mind that you’re only going to be sleeping in the same room with your roommates- 90% of the socializing at Into The Wool takes place outside of the cabins.* Please note that we CANNOT accommodate late arrivals, period.
Any medications that need to be refrigerated can be stored in the meds refrigerator in the cafeteria.* The camp is not handicapped accessible, and all buildings have at least a few stairs to get inside (if not a LOT of stairs).
If you have an issue with stairs, this is not a good retreat for you.
The retreat is in a wooded area and having food/drinks in sleeping quarters attracts bugs and rodents.
All food and drink will be able to be stored in the cafeteria and the gathering area once it has been opened.
We will have a roommate selection period in July, where there will be a 2 week period in which all registered attendees can submit rooming requests.
